Interpret civil construction drawings, CAD files, and survey data to produce accurate digital terrain models (DTMs).
Create and manage 3D grading and paving models for GPS and machine control systems (e.g., Trimble, Topcon, Leica).
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and field staff to ensure model accuracy and field usability.
Support field teams with GPS file transfers and technical troubleshooting related to modeling.
Maintain organized file systems for project models, surfaces, and reference materials.
Meet on project sites to collaborate with surveyors and field team, as needed.
Update models as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform QA/QC checks to validate model accuracy before deployment.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Experience supporting highway, DOT, or large-scale site development projects.
Proficiency with modeling software such as Trimble Business Center (TBC), AutoCAD Civil 3D, Topcon 3D Office, Microstation, Carlson Civil, and similar.
Familiarity with GPS machine control and survey layout technology.
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not required with sufficient experience).
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and survey data.
Proven experience in 3D civil modeling or a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
Understanding of civil sites and roadway grading, paving design, and construction practices.
Knowledge of FAA, DOT, or other regulatory specifications related to grading and paving.
