The Maintenance and Facilities Technician supports the OPEX and EHS departments by driving continuous improvement in electrical assembly operations. The role focuses on keeping the facility and production equipment in optimal condition through preventive maintenance and minimizing downtime. The company promotes a creative, inclusive environment where professionals can reach their full potential.
Key duties include performing preventive and predictive maintenance on a variety of equipment such as lifts, cranes, motors, pumps, and pressure vessels, and reading electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC schematics. The technician troubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs mechanical, electrical, and control systems, while also handling general facilities work like painting, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and roofing. Work orders and preventive maintenance tasks are executed to maximize equipment reliability, and the technician proactively initiates orders based on observations, supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives such as 5S, TPM, and setup reduction. Collaboration with outside contractors and accurate maintenance logging are also required.
Candidates must have at least three years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including one year each in electrical (24‑480 V) and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and possess a technical degree or certification in a related field. Preferred qualifications include five years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience, PLC programming skills, bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, and the ability to work safely at heights with fall‑protection procedures. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and have basic computer skills with Windows‑based software.
