Senior Accountant - Renewables IPP

Description

• Assist the accounting team with month-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Development, Construction, Operations, and Procurement teams to ensure accurate cost recording and allocation across projects in a multi-entity organization.
• Responsible for managing accounting tasks at the project level, which includes processing invoices, verifying them against Work Orders or POs, securing necessary approvals for transactions, and overseeing the invoice payment process.
• Assist with preparations for annual tax returns.
• Prepare project-level reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the implementation and functioning of a purchase order system to monitor development spending.
• Contribute to financial audits and suggest procedural improvements to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Support monthly and quarterly project cost reconciliations.
• Help prepare quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with 2 - 4 years of accounting experience, with a background in audit.
