The Leasing Consultant role drives the property’s marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to meet occupancy, revenue, and resident‑retention goals. The consultant greets prospects, tours units, processes applications, prepares leases, and ensures smooth move‑ins while maintaining high resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.
Additional duties include creating off‑site marketing campaigns, analyzing market trends, enforcing lease agreements through inspections and collections, and supporting lease renewal programs. The consultant also responds promptly to resident and owner concerns, maintains property cleanliness and safety, and generates financial and administrative reports as needed.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED; property‑management, sales, marketing, or customer‑service experience is preferred. Required skills include strong communication, presentation, and delivery abilities, as well as proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and property‑management software such as Entrata, Yardi, or OneSite. A valid driver’s license is also required.
Physical demands include lifting up to 20 lb independently (or 50 lb with assistance), frequent standing, walking, climbing, and occasional keyboard work. The position is a 40‑hour work week with typical site hours of 9 am–6 pm Monday‑Friday, 10 am–5 pm Saturday, and 1 pm–5 pm Sunday. Weekend availability is required, and the role involves both office work and exposure to outdoor elements that may be unpleasant or hazardous.
