Manage Certified Payroll for all public works and prevailing wage projects, including submission of WH-347 and jurisdiction-specific reports.
Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and compliance Communicate with team regarding tax planning, compliance, and financial statement matters Work closely with owners and staff to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed accurately Assist in staff training and mentoring, as needed
Review month-end accounting, reconciliation and adjusting journal entries
Evaluate and monitor compliance of subcontractors with prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements.
Conduct regular fringe benefit audits and reconciliation to ensure proper tracking of fringe allocations and contributions.
Prepare and analyze reports related to field payroll costs, fringe utilization, and project labor trends.
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with professional standards Review independently prepared partnership tax returns
Review 1099 forms prepared internally
Monitor changes in wage determinations, fringe benefit thresholds, and regulatory requirements to keep internal systems up to date
Maintain and monitor accurate job descriptions, wage determinations, and employee setup for each project.
Interface with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to gather, review, and ensure timely submission of timecards and payroll documents.
Prepare with month-end accruals and reconciliation related to payroll, fringe, and labor burden.
Collaborate on scoping, testing, reporting, remediating, and optimizing internal control and business process environments
Oversee weekly payroll for field employees, ensuring proper deductions, wage classifications, and compliance with federal/state requirements.
Provide operational support to various department heads contributing to the daily activities of the company
Maintain and organize certified payroll records for audit readiness and internal compliance reviews.
