CMT Field Technician

Description

• Performing quality assurance tests and observations
• Interacting with clients, contractors, and other engineering professionals
• Collection of various samples
• Preparing and submitting daily reports

Requirements

• 0-5 year's experience working in the construction industry
• Proficiency in preparing and documenting test result in accordance with TXDOT standards and project requirements
• Experience reading and comprehending plans, specifications, and test procedures
• 1A and 1B certifications a must
• Highway or building construction experience and a proven history of working well with contractors and owners to accomplish construction tasks is preferred
• Must be willing to transition from field testing and inspection duties to laboratory test responsibilities as needed
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets
• Ability to use and navigate Site Manager and Metafield is a plus
• Knowledge of TXDOT testing procedures relating to asphalt materials
• Must be willing to work "off hours" when needed and up to 60 hours per week as needed
• Driving to and from job sites
• Ability to travel, 20% of the time
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Working knowledge of asphalt pavements
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I
