Production Operator

Description

• Follow safety rules and procedures while performing work.
• Operate and maintain assigned machines according to standard work procedures.
• Meet or exceed production output rates consistently.
• Ensure products meet required tolerances and specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections to uphold quality standards.
• Interpret and follow production instructions.
• Maintain accurate production paperwork.
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials for defects before production.
• Read work orders and formulas to achieve production specifications and schedules.
• Examine materials and ingredients against quality standards.
• Weigh and measure materials, ingredients, and products as required.
• Add and mix raw materials according to specifications.
• Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas.
• Discharge blenders of powder when necessary.
• Verify quality and conformity of blended products.
• Set up, clean, sanitize, and ensure proper operation of equipment before, after, and between runs.
• Complete cleaning logs and notify quality control for hygiene testing.
• Record operational and production data on designated forms.
• Report equipment malfunctions to a supervisor and support routine maintenance.
• Assess quality control and operational procedures on an ongoing basis.
• Execute ISO authority responsibilities, complete required training, and report suspected violations.
• Observe all safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and properly use and maintain equipment and materials.

Requirements

The Production Operator is responsible for safely starting, troubleshooting, and operating manufacturing equipment, including industrial blenders, according to the production schedule. Three skill levels (I, II, III) are defined by experience, the ability to assume varied plant‑floor roles, and independent problem‑solving to keep cycles efficient and downtime minimal.

No formal education or prior experience is required for this position, allowing candidates to learn on the job and grow within the organization.

The role requires physical capabilities such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, kneeling, balancing, and lifting up to 50 lb, as well as the ability to use hands, talk, and hear effectively in a manufacturing environment.
