Assist in geotechnical drilling and subsurface investigations, if required.
Adhere to safety procedures and company policies while working on-site.
Conduct density testing using nuclear gauge and other soil compaction methods.
Perform field testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other materials according to ASTM, AASHTO, and other industry standards.
Perform concrete field testing, including slump, air content, unit weight, and making test cylinders.
Communicate findings with project managers, engineers, and site personnel.
Record and report test results accurately and promptly.
Operate and maintain field testing equipment.
Collect and prepare soil and material samples for laboratory analysis.

Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods.
OSHA 10/30-Hour Certification
Proficiency in basic computer applications
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
Experience with nuclear density gauge testing (Troxler Certification)
Ability to pass a background check screening.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to use your senses to see (including close, distant, and peripheral vison, depth vision, and ability to focus) smell, hear, touch (use hands to reach climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit).
Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, handling tools, and operating equipment.
NICET Level I or II in Construction Materials Testing
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, balance, lift, carry, and push as required for fieldwork and inspections.
Ability to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients
