Technicians are responsible for fueling and greasing mining and support equipment, performing general yard clean‑up, and assisting mechanics as directed. The position is physically demanding and requires strict adherence to safety policies, PPE usage, safe‑work‑plan reviews, equipment walk‑arounds, and immediate reporting of repairs, incidents or near‑misses.
Applicants must hold a valid Class 3 driver’s licence with an air‑brake endorsement, be able to operate a standard vehicle, and possess a safety‑first attitude. Prior experience with forklifts, bobcats or loaders, as well as AWP or fall‑arrest certification, is advantageous. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and strong English communication skills are required.
Candidates will need to provide a recent driver’s abstract, a valid CSO, and complete mandatory pre‑employment testing (breath alcohol, urine drug, fitness‑to‑work, audiometric and vision screenings). The onboarding process, which includes paperwork and orientation, typically takes 3–8 business days, after which successful applicants are contacted via phone or email.
The combined hourly rate can reach $53.33, includes vacation and statutory holiday pay on each paycheck, and offers up to 61 overtime hours per rotation plus a $1.20 night‑shift premium. Additional perks include a boot allowance, bi‑weekly pay, IUOE membership, medical and dental benefits after 400 hours, transportation to the site, provided PPE (except steel‑toed boots), and clear pathways for growth.
