Tasks

-You will work with market-leading clients and have the backing of a leading international firm. -Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement legal policies and procedures. -Provide guidance on corporate governance, business formation, and general corporate law matters within the North American region. -Support regional compliance initiatives related to privacy, data security, and other regulatory requirements. -Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts and professional services agreements. -Assist with commercial litigation matters, including dispute resolution and legal risk assessments. -Work closely with external counsel as needed and support internal legal projects. -Monitor legal developments affecting the business and advise on necessary updates or changes. -Advise on employment issues, including employment law, immigration compliance, and related HR legal matters.

What You Bring

-Experience with communication to executive level. -Experience in a Building Construction or Professional Services Industry highly regarded -Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to nonlegal partners up and down the corporate chain. -Excellent legal research and writing skills. -10 years of general practice experience as an attorney with a law firm or in-house counsel generalist role. Employment, immigration and/or corporate transactional experience preferred. -Fluent in English and essential to speak at least one the following languages Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean. -Strong problem solving skills, project management and business acumen. -Ability to work across domestic and global time zones. -Ability to work well under pressure. -Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment. -Experience working in Australia, New Zealand and Asia (South Korea, Macau or Shanghai). -Ability to work with minimal supervision, function autonomously and take initiative.
