Chief Commercial Officer (Syria)

Description

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is responsible for leading the airport’s commercial strategy, maximizing non-aeronautical and aeronautical revenue streams, and ensuring sustainable growth. The role drives business development, retail, concessions, marketing, and commercial partnerships while aligning with the airport’s strategic vision.

• Identify new commercial opportunities and partnerships to maximize revenue generation.
• Oversee marketing, customer experience, and branding initiatives to enhance passenger engagement and loyalty.
• Develop and execute the airport’s commercial strategy, including retail, duty-free, parking, advertising, real estate, and other non-aeronautical revenue streams.
• Drive growth of aeronautical revenues, including airline agreements, landing fees, and passenger service charges.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations in all commercial activities.
• Lead negotiations with airlines, concessionaires, retail operators, and other commercial partners.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, planning, and legal teams to align commercial initiatives with airport operations and long-term strategy.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial and marketing team to build a high-performing culture.
• Monitor commercial performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement strategies to optimize revenue.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Strong understanding of aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue streams.
• Financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Analytical and results-oriented mindset.
• Experience in airline negotiations, retail, concessions, and partnership management.
• Leadership and team development experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in commercial leadership roles within the aviation or airport industry.
• Proven track record in revenue growth, business development, and commercial strategy implementation.
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, regulated environment.
