Lead on the full life-cycle of BESS and DER project design, guiding projects from conceptual design through to full system design.
Investigate the interconnection which includes modifications to existing design concepts that are applicable to each site
Use AutoCAD in order to carry out permit ready and IFC deliverables. Including but not limited to: Conduit/Cabling schedules, stub-up details, and required clearances as state by NEC/IEEE/NFPA standards
Provide significant input to the solar, battery, and generator designs to optimize performance, reliability, and sustainability for each customer site
Conduct factory acceptance tests and on-site commissioning of BESS systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
Work with the BD, execution, and commercial teams on specific projects to ensure the integration of the Microgrid is technically correct, practical, and cost-effective. This includes working with existing service entrance one-line drawings, or creating new ones, to provide the best design interface for functionality and cost
Interface with equipment and technology vendors.
Work with switchgear manufacturers (and other OEMs) like Schneider Electric or Eaton to develop innovative designs and costing that are scalable to many jobs and customer sites. This includes working at voltage levels of 13.8kV, 4160V, 480V, and 208V depending on site and system size
Develop system-level schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for BESS installations.
Manage engineering consultants in the preparation of detailed engineering and construction drawings and specifications
Work extensively with our Business Development (BD) teams to evaluate and develop the right technical solutions
Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of BESS systems.
