Ensure required information is disseminated to the team through effective communication meetings, postings and other methods as needed.
Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provides clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the Safety, Quality, Logistics, Process, and Operations teams.
Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork and data entry including but not limited to production and downtime reports, incident reports and the distribution of specifications.
Provide the Shift Supervisor with relevant information and data for performance reviews, conflict resolution, training and development, and potential challenges or opportunities as identified.
Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures, control charts, histograms, CpK, and other SPC tools and measurements; recommend improvements based on statistical data and observation.
Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible.
Prepare and analyze reports and make recommendations for improvements
Actively leads risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventive actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks.
Develop, implement and maintain operational procedures and controls to ensure product meets customer required and recognized quality standards.
Responsible for safety, product, process, and compliance audits; training of new team members; and team member certifications and re-certifications.
Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed.
Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws
Communicate effectively with internal customers as well as peers and to solve problems and enhance capabilities of the team
Coordinate, review and communicate customer specifications/changes.
Completes incident investigations, root cause analysis and implements corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner.
Assist operators and coordinate trouble-shooting activities. Refer to the Process Engineer for root-cause solutions to recurring problems.
Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
Responsible for presenting asset results in meetings. This includes being able to explain what happened to drive downtime, waste, quality, rate, and other occurrences as well as how to prevent these occurrences in the future.
Sets goals for their organizational unit; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals.
Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department, Change Management)

Exposure to static electricity on occasion.
3-5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Employee must be able to climb, bend, stoop and crawl.
Ability to read electrical indicators and laboratory equipment indicators.
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
Ability to read charts and document numbers and events on paper and in computer.
Employee must be able to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and 50 pounds occasionally
Required to frequently ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast moving machinery.
Exposure to and use of sharp implements at times.
OSHA 30 hour preferred
Required to be in tight spaces on occasion and to heights daily.
Supervisory experience preferred
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Technical degree or Associate Degree preferred
Moving machinery or moving objects on production floor.
Floor surfaces slippery at times.
Employee must have 20/20 vision corrected in both eyes, to discern various color graphics and color matches.
Exposure to chemicals which may cause eye or skin irritation and/or burns, and irritation to respiratory system.
Ability to make decisions regarding work priorities.
Exposure to hot and/or abrasive surfaces.
Understand and help positively communicate changes in business situations, production schedules, and company policies.
Employee must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts.
Experience using Personal computers with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Windows, and Word.
Required to safely access fast moving machinery which includes rolls with inward nip points.
Possible exposure to noise levels over 90 decibels for 12 hours at certain locations.
Employee must be qualified to operate powered industrial trucks and pass Forklift License Program.
Exposure to outside elements on occasion.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to interact with digital and basic computerized record & control systems.
