The successful applicant must perform all required functions at a pace consistent with job performance standards, including maintaining and coding medical records, reviewing them for completeness and accuracy, and preparing reports.
Additional duties involve monitoring external referrals, coordinating the transfer of medical records, aiding the preparation of routine medical and dental reports, and establishing effective working relationships while using personal computers.
Applicants need a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent and must be eligible for Accredited Records Technician (ART) accreditation or have two years of experience handling patient records in a medical setting. A valid driver’s license and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Lotus 1‑2‑3 or Excel are preferred, and candidates must be at least 20 years old.
