HSE Advisor – Construction

Description

Will be responsible for providing HSEQ compliance, management plans and procedures and will be stepping into a well-established safety team

As HSE Advisor, you will be involved in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety management are carried out across all construction sites. The successful candidate will report into the HSEQ State Lead as well as working with the site-based Project Managers and management staff.

• Assist management to encourage a healthy safe and environmentally responsible working culture amongst personnel
• Assist project teams in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation
• Compile project specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids as needed
• Coach, advise and educate site personnel of legislative requirements & changes to comply with company procedures
• Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions as per company procedures
• Coach site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings
• Actively analyse HSEQ performance, reporting, system updates
• Leading HSE across multiple construction, remediation, defence and façade sites
• Coordinate HESQ training programs including the maintenance of competency standards
• Maintain the company Integrated Management System to an accredited level
• Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits,

Requirements

Our client is a well-established and market leading national contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated HSE Advisor to join their growing business.

• Ability to thrive in high pressure, fast paced environment
• Ideally a Cert IV in Health & Safety or a Diploma
• 3 to 5 years’ experience with background in working in construction health & safety
• Experience in the creation and reviewing of Management Plans, SWMS, JHA’s and conducting Audits
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Understanding of Quality Management processes
