Model waterside piping, pumps, terminal and main equipment.
Attend and participate in owner, client, or architect meetings as needed and visit project sites to verify existing conditions and/or observe construction progress.
Perform calculations, develop design approaches and concepts, design engineering system(s), and fulfill other duties as assigned through collaboration with junior and senior staff, and senior staff and Engineer of Record approval.
Begin to take responsibility for project designs under the Engineer of Record supervision with senior staff oversight.
Help prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and project designs.
Create intermediate to advanced system layouts, detail drawings, schematics, and schedules using Revit, AutoCAD or other software.
Reviews work for technical accuracy and completeness prior to final QA/QC review.
Reviews Shop Drawings and Equipment Submittals for conformance to plan documents and project specifications.
Participate in client, company, and industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
Communicate design requirements and assist project managers with project coordination and facilitation between architects, contractors, other engineers, equipment manufacturer representatives, and other team members to determine project scope, feasibility, and equipment needs, and provide operating procedures and technical information.
Develop Heating and Cooling Load Calculations within Carrier HAP software.
Model airside ductwork, air terminals, and equipment.

Consistently maintains proficient understanding of industry standards and regulations.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes and standards is required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and BlueBeam Revu.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and 5 or more years of relevant experience is required; Master’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, or similar discipline, can substitute up to 1 year of work experience.
Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
