In this role the lead combines strategic senior IT leadership with hands‑on ownership of native mobile applications for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin). The individual will define end‑to‑end architecture, guide engineering execution, and ensure operational excellence across cross‑platform squads.
The position requires providing technical mentorship, establishing modern mobile architecture (MVVM/Clean, DI, modularization), and staying current with platform updates such as SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, and app‑store policies. The lead also drives healthy engineering practices, code reviews, and a strong learning culture.
Responsibilities include owning the full delivery lifecycle for iOS/Android epics, collaborating with product owners and agile teams, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and managing release processes through TestFlight, Play Console, and feature‑gating tools. The role also entails defining robust test strategies and maintaining documentation and runbooks.
Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, at least seven years of native mobile app design and development, and ten years of overall IT experience. Expertise in Swift/Objective‑C, Kotlin/Java, RxSwift/RxJava, and related frameworks is essential, along with strong communication, architectural, and DevOps skills.

The Senior Mobile Tech Lead reports to the Manager of Application Development and works on‑site in Boston, MA or Orange, CT. The position offers a base salary ranging from $131,483.20 to $164,354, depending on experience and location.
