Has a basic understanding of miscellaneous design software tools applicable to MEP design (such as Revit and AutoCAD)
Minimum of 2+ years of experience
Understands basic proposal/add service and scope language
Reads, understands, and interprets industry standards, guidelines, and certification programs (e.g. LEED, WELL, ASHRAE, etc.)
Maintains affiliation with a major professional organization (BCA, AEE, ASHRAE, USGBC, etc.)
Has an advanced understanding of documentation formats and content for each deliverable phase (ie: preconstruction, construction, turnover, and close out)
Has knowledge of how to troubleshoot various field-related issues
Reads, understands, and interprets construction documents (e.g. design drawings, submittals, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited program
Has a fundamental understanding of Energy and Building Codes as they relate to Field
