We are seeking a Solution Architect – Data & Integration to design, build and maintain robust data solutions for our Energy Retail business. In this hands‑on role you will develop and optimise data pipelines, integrate complex systems, and improve data quality and accessibility. You will collaborate with IT, business stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into secure, scalable and high‑performing outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.
Key responsibilities include leading the design, implementation and maintenance of data and integration initiatives across platforms, ensuring security, scalability and compliance. You will provide technical leadership on data modelling, integration strategies and architecture frameworks, partner with stakeholders to deliver measurable value, and assess solutions against business requirements to prepare executive business cases. Collaboration with vendors and internal teams will be essential to achieve intended outcomes.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of data engineering experience, including ETL development and system integration, and strong knowledge of modern data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics or Fabric. Experience designing cloud‑native integration solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP, and using PaaS integration tools like MuleSoft or Boomi is highly regarded. Background in the energy sector, understanding of data governance, security, compliance and change management, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non‑technical audiences are also required. A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline is expected.
