Senior Port Development Engineer
Moffatt & Nichol
Global infrastructure advisor specializing in coastal, port, waterfront, transportation, bridge and energy projects.
Develop and execute strategic plans to promote Moffatt & Nichol’s full suite of services
Conduct due diligence for container terminals, marinas, and cruise facilities in collaboration with Waterfront Destination and Cruise teams in Oceania
Work closely with global teams including:
Manage programs including design oversight, cost estimating, contracting, and quality assurance
Collaborate with Engineering Business Unit Leaders and International Practice Leaders to drive growth strategy and expand client networks across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region
Create valuation systems for existing marinas and develop marine market analysis tools
Oversee planning, analysis, and design of port cargo facilities, marinas, waterfronts, and cruise terminals—with a focus on super-mega yacht infrastructure
Build and manage client relationships specific to the Australian maritime market
Lead proposal development by assembling the right team and technical approach to meet client needs

15+ years of experience in strategic development, design, and management of ports, marinas, and waterfront infrastructure

Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring multidisciplinary teams
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status through Engineers Australia preferred, or equivalent international certification
