Oversees modeling and design duties that require site authorization or have legal precedence.
May act as team lead, providing subject matter guidance to team members but is not a supervisor.
Reviews and provides feedback on work product(s) for subordinate CAD Technicians.
Lead technician in matters of design changes/updates.
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices; proposing improvement to processes and methods as needed.
Coaches and mentors’ other team members.
Assesses engineering requirements and translates into technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using CAD/CAM/CAE software ensures drawings meet product design goals.

Has specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments.
Expert understanding and usage of CAD/CAM/CAE design and drafting software platforms.

Minimum High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting or survey preferred.
Minimum 6+ years of Computer Aided Design (CAD) support and/or experience required.
