The primary objective of the Charge Up Operator is to operate underground production charging units, delivering bulk explosives to blast areas safely and productively. This role ensures high‑quality service in explosive delivery while maintaining safety standards.
Key duties include demonstrating the company value ‘Safety is our Priority, Always’, managing magazines, conducting routine inspections and minor maintenance of fixed and mobile plants, and working closely with the Drill and Blast Team. The operator also assists in training and mentoring new team members and consistently acts with integrity and respect.
We are seeking both Experienced and Trainee Charge Up Operators (MCU) for various sites in South Australia. Positions operate on a FIFO (from Adelaide) or DIDO (within South Australia) basis with an 8‑days‑on, 6‑days‑off roster.
Applicants must hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle licence and be able to obtain a national police clearance check. A strong commitment to safety, health and environment is essential, and basic mechanical comprehension is highly advantageous. Experience operating heavy plant, equipment or machinery is beneficial but not required.
