Head of Construction

As the Head of Construction you will lead, inspire and drive the high-performing site management team.

• Provide experience and expertise to mitigate and overcome challenges encountered during project delivery.
• Ensure company processes are adhered to at all times and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure project functional reporting lines to Director of Project Management & Construction within Belectric GmbH and Germany are maintained and executed.
• Coordination of construction resourcing to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
• Ensure team are equipped with necessary tools, equipment and resources to deliver projects effectively.
• Responsibility for ensuring the highest HSQE standards are always maintained on site and in compliance with UK HSE and CDM regulations. Drive a positive HSE culture amongst the team.
• Provide strong leadership and clear direction to a team of Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers, Quality Managers and Commissioning Managers, taking full line management responsibility and driving high performance in the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
• Assess team performance and establish objectives or KPIs to track progress.
• Assess new project opportunities and resourcing requirements.

• Strong leadership skills with ability to communicate objectives and priorities clearly.
• Health & Safety training and/or qualifications would be advantageous
• Fluency in English, German language skills would be beneficial
• Battery Storage experience would be a valuable asset
• Extensive previous experience as Site Manager on utility scale solar PV projects (20MW+)
• Relevant construction/engineering related degree or equivalent experience and/or vocational training.

£70,000 to £80,000 depending on experience
