The Foreman at Bergelectric Corp. monitors installations, ensures work complies with company standards and project specifications, collaborates with general contractors and customers, and manages project schedule, productivity, safety, quality control, labor cost, manpower, and material procurement. This safety‑sensitive position requires oversight of all activities impacting successful project completion.
Key responsibilities include achieving productivity goals by assigning tasks and tracking labor, establishing and monitoring project objectives, managing purchase orders and material deliveries, adhering to contract changes and company policies, and utilizing prefabrication facilities and installation methods. The foreman ensures safety equipment, tools, and materials are available, provides crew change notices, anticipates and resolves issues, enforces shift schedules and break times, conducts performance evaluations, maintains accurate as‑builts, and communicates with owners, architects, contractors, and crew members. All work must meet NEC, federal, state, and local codes, and the foreman promotes teamwork, morale, and compliance with company policies.
The role requires lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, squatting, stooping, kneeling while wearing a 25 lb tool belt, and standing for long periods performing repetitive tasks. Work is performed in varied weather conditions, high noise levels, and may involve ladders, man lifts, or reach booms.
Candidates must have 2–4 years of field experience as a Journeyman Electrician and hold a current Journeyman Wireman license where required. They should demonstrate ability to order and track materials, project costs, produce as‑builts, and possess strong knowledge of scheduling, material lead times, electrical codes, and installation methods for power systems, control panels, and single‑line blueprints. Experience in verifying compliance, troubleshooting faults, and working with lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks is also required.
