Associate Architect

• Initiate and maintain strong client relationships through meetings, presentations, conflict resolution, and consistent communication to understand and fulfil project ambitions.
• Engage in strategic planning including programme creation, invoice tracking, timeline monitoring, and managing contractual changes or delays.
• Develop technical drawing packages, construction details, issue sheets, and schedules across all project stages, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Act as a brand ambassador by upholding company values, managing personal responsibilities effectively, and exemplifying professional standards.
• Guide design vision, ensuring alignment with client goals and company values, maintaining design integrity from concept through to execution.
• Oversee contract management, monitor project finances, and support compliance with payment schedules and financial reporting.
• Strategize and oversee concepts, materials, and layouts ensuring consistency in design intent across the team.
• Provide support to the Design Director during client presentations.
• Oversee on-site project delivery to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Lead small teams across all RIBA stages, mentor staff, conduct workshops, and manage team resource allocation and project profitability.

Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled Associate Architect to provide guidance in both Architecture and Interior Design for numerous prestigious projects. This individual will collaborate closely with our senior team while also mentoring and supporting our talented junior members.

Must have a degree in architecture or similar. Must be ARB qualified or equivalent, or 6-10 years working in an architectural role as a Part II or Part III.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office; Revit experience is an advantage.
• Understanding of procurement routes, contracts, and business operations.
• In-depth knowledge of all RIBA Work Stages, Building Regulations and construction methods.
• Articulate and refined design ability and style with an emphasis on technical design and detailing.
• Understanding of company-wide issues including resourcing, monthly invoicing, and deliverables.
• Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of NBS specification writing is advantageous.
• Successfully delivered 3 - 5 projects covering Architecture and/or Interior Architecture & ID.
• Experience working with external consultants, suppliers and contractors.
• Experience in project management, client management and team leadership.
