Description

The Regional Manager (RM) oversees the operational and financial performance of a portfolio of properties. This hands‑on leader drives team performance, maintains client relationships, and ensures business strategies align with company objectives.

• Recruit, interview, and approve site‑level hires according to company standards.
• Lead team meetings, 1‑on‑1 coaching sessions, and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure policy compliance and resolve conflicts.
• Provide onboarding, training, and mentorship to develop staff competency.
• Perform weekly site visits and host regular client calls.
• Act as primary client liaison, handling communications and timely follow‑ups.
• Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly business plans for each community.
• Approve expense requests and manage expense reporting within budget guidelines.
• Review and approve purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and timely submission.
• Conduct physical property inspections, including tours, vacant units, and maintenance shops.
• Ensure compliance with procurement, financial practices, and vendor‑management policies.
• Oversee resident and vendor communications to resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor property marketing efforts, reviewing websites and advertising materials.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; lead, mentor, and develop on‑site teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to control costs and improve efficiency.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and brings at least four years of multifamily property‑management experience, including two years as a Community Manager and exposure to third‑party management. They must possess a valid driver’s license, strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and industry software such as Yardi, LRO, AIRM, and Yieldstar.

Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, read documents and screens, hear verbal communications, and occasionally lift items up to 15 pounds. The role is hybrid, requiring work in a corporate or regional office four days a week within an open‑plan environment that may have bright lights and background noise.

• Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the role’s physical requirements.
• Possess at least four years of multifamily property‑management experience, including two years as a Community Manager.
• Demonstrate expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Yardi, and revenue‑management software (LRO, AIRM, Yieldstar).
