Property Manager- HOHM Highlandtown Apartments

Description

• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely unit turnovers and service resolutions
• Develop and manage annual budgets; monitor variances and control expenses
• Coordinate staff scheduling, including emergency coverage when necessary
• Hire, train, and supervise leasing and maintenance team members (as applicable)
• Analyze market trends and competitive properties to improve leasing strategies
• Provide performance feedback and support professional development
• Screen and approve lease applications
• Foster strong resident relationships through responsive communication and support
• Prepare operational and financial reports for ownership and stakeholders
• Promote the property to maximize curb appeal and leasing success
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Manage all leasing activities while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws
• Conduct regular property inspections and address maintenance needs within budget
• Approve vendor invoices, track financials, and oversee payroll records
• Coordinate eviction proceedings with Property Accountants when necessary
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Implement retention strategies to maintain optimal occupancy

Requirements

• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and reporting
• Exceptional customer service and conflict-resolution skills
• Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office
• 1–2 years of property manager experience (lease-up experience a plus)
