Iron Worker

Description

• Maintenance and Repair: Inspect and maintain existing iron and steel structures, performing repairs as necessary to ensure their longevity and safety

Requirements

• Reading Blueprints: Interpret and understand blueprints and schematics to determine the specifications and requirements for construction
• Knowledge of steel erection tools, equipment, and best practices
• Demonstrated experience in steel erection and pre-engineered metal building construction
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Operating Equipment: Use various tools and machinery, such as cranes, welding machines, and cutting torches, to cut, bend, and weld metal components into desired shapes and positions
• Valid chauffeur's license and medical examiner's certificate (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Ability to work at heights, in outdoor conditions, and on active construction sites
• Installation and Assembly: Install and reinforce iron and steel structures, including beams, girders, and columns, ensuring they are secure and meet design
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to job-site safety
