As Director of IT Operations, you’ll guide our infrastructure, network, security, and service / help desk teams to deliver a highly available, secure, and future-ready environment. You’ll shape the technical foundation that supports 1,000+ users across 17 manufacturing plants, 2 distribution centers, and a growing corporate HQ — all while mentoring a talented team and modernizing the systems that keep JM Eagle moving.

  • Hire, develop, and mentor engineers, supervisors, and service professionals.
  • Monitor systems to ensure 24×7×365 reliability and performance.
  • Lead infrastructure, network, security, and IT service / help desk operations.
  • Lead a critical modernization effort for the world’s largest pipe manufacturer.
  • Partner closely with business and application teams to align IT initiatives with company goals.
  • Manage vendors, contracts, and budgets to achieve cost-effective results.
  • Manage technology that powers 1,000+ users and 20+ distributed sites across North America.
  • Implement ITSM / ITIL best practices, standard operating procedures, and supporting documentation.
  • Drive decisions around virtualization, network architecture, and business continuity.
  • Provide strategic direction for and ensure appropriate management of IT security, cyber risks, and tools to maintain a secure infrastructure.
  • Develop and direct a professional IT service function with tools and processes for ticket management, performance tracking, escalations, and exception analysis.
  • Oversee cloud, data centers, servers, storage, virtualization, and wireless technologies.

  • Practical experience with best-in-class security tools from Microsoft, Fortinet, Darktrace, Proofpoint, Nessus Pro, Crowdstrike, Palo Alto and others is essential.
  • Strong communication, vendor management, and project leadership skills.
  • Extensive use of IT service management / help desk tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, MIS, or related professional discipline.
  • Communicate proactively about maintenance, outages, and system changes.
  • 4+ years leading an IT operations or infrastructure team of 8 or more.
  • 10+ years in IT infrastructure, operations, security, help desk, and architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of security processes for endpoints, MFA, servers, network routers / firewalls, data centers, email, internet, applications, cloud, etc.
  • A practical, sleeves-rolled-up leadership style — you lead by doing and by developing others.
  • Expert in designing, managing, and implementing Microsoft technologies such as Azure / 365, SharePoint, AD / Entra ID, SCCM / Intune, etc.
  • Experience supporting 1,000+ users across 5+ distributed sites.
