Vice President of Logistics & Preconstruction

Description

• Advise leadership on trends, risks, supply-chain conditions, and competitive positioning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of preconstruction professionals.
• Establish clear KPIs, performance expectations, and talent development pathways.
• Serve as a senior technical and strategic representative in client engagements, pursuits, interviews, and executive briefings.
• Align preconstruction strategy with construction operations to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, excellence, and proactive communication.
• Collaborate with design partners and consultants to ensure clarity of scope, design feasibility, and optimized solutions.
• Provide thought leadership in data center constructability, modularity, scalability, and supply-chain optimization.
• Ensure early-phase assumptions translate into cost certainty, schedule accuracy, and risk mitigation during execution.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships that translate into repeat business and multi-campus engagements.
• Partner with sales leadership to qualify opportunities, shape pursuit strategy, and position T5 Construction as a preferred partner.
• Develop and execute the preconstruction strategy aligned with T5 Construction’s growth objectives.
• Leverage relationships to introduce clients to additional T5 capabilities and business units.
• Oversee development of proposals, RFP responses, pursuit narratives, and executive-level materials.
• Oversee conceptual estimating for hyperscale, campus-scale, and multi-phase developments.
• Establish standards, processes, and tools that elevate accuracy, predictability, and speed across all preconstruction deliverables.
• Partner with HR and leadership to recruit top technical talent and build future leaders within the organization.
• Partner with Procurement and Equipment Procurement Teams to secure components.
• Direct all preconstruction activities including budget development, estimate reviews, constructability analysis, and design strategy alignment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost modeling, market forecasting, logistics planning, and procurement strategy.
• Develop and maintain pricing models, benchmarking tools, and cost databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an AEC-related field, required
• 10+ years of data center construction experience, required
• Proven experience with hyperscale or large mission-critical facilities strongly preferred
• Proven experience with hyperscale, strongly preferred
• 10+ years of commercial or mission-critical construction experience, including leadership of multi-disciplinary teams
• Bachelor’s degree in an AEC-related field required; Master’s preferred
• Master’s, preferred
• Strong understanding of MEP-intensive systems, mission-critical infrastructure, and long-lead material procurement
• 5+ years of preconstruction, estimating, or design management experience
• 5+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience, required
• Advanced proficiency with cost modeling tools, market analytics, and preconstruction technology
