Streetcare Manager

Ringway are looking for a Street Cleansing Contract & Performance Manager to join our team delivering a vital service on a high-profile highways contract. In this key leadership role, you'll be responsible for managing the daily operations of our street cleansing teams, ensuring the service meets performance, safety, and environmental standards across the network.

• Produce reports and maintain accurate records to support performance reviews.
• Develop and deliver operational strategies in line with business goals.
• Plan and deliver scheduled and reactive cleansing works, including out-of-hours activity.
• Lead team development through training, recruitment and performance management.
• Set clear performance expectations and monitor delivery against contractual KPIs.
• Lead and manage day-to-day street cleansing operations across the contract.
• Ensure fleet, depot and plant resources are well managed and compliant.
• Promote a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture within the team.
• Support and lead sustainability initiatives, including recycling and carbon reduction.
• Work collaboratively with client and stakeholder teams to improve service outcomes.

• Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.
• Experience in service planning and resource management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understanding of risk assessments, method statements and compliance obligations.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
• Competence in MS Office and operational systems (e.g., SharePoint, Excel).
• Comfortable working with data and reporting tools to support decision-making.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Experience managing street cleansing, highways maintenance, or a similar operational environment.
