Field Services Engineer

Description

• Lead or support complex field engineering projects
• Collaborate with customers and recommend improvements to operations
• Continue developing technical expertise through ABB training and resources
• Install, modify, test, and repair liquid-cooled VFDs (LV & MV), automation systems, and control programming
• Interpret and update schematics and technical drawings on-site
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field

Requirements

ABB is hiring a Marine Field Service Engineer to support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of ABB marine systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, working directly with customers, and tackling complex field challenges.

ABB - Process Automation, Marine & Ports

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Familiarity with marine or offshore environments
• Preferred: ABB marine equipment experience, ship electrician or shipyard background
• 4+ years of experience in marine power generation and distribution
• Background with VFDs (low and medium voltage), control systems, and programming
