What you would be doing

- Preparation of engineering plans, specifications, estimates, documents and reports
- Analyze survey reports, maps, as-built drawings, shop drawings, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to build analytical bridge models and calculation sheets
- Coordinate with team members, clients, subconsultants and in-house support disciplines to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
- Progress designs in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
- Attend meetings with clients
- Perform structural analysis computations using computer models, MathCAD, spreadsheets, and hand calculations

- Experience performing Level 1 and Level 2 Load Ratings with AASHTOWare BrDR.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program AND a minimum of 4 years’ experience in bridge design or bridge inspection
- Possess a New York State issued Professional Engineer’s License with current registration (or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 3 months) AND a minimum of 2 years’ experience in bridge design or bridge inspection
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with one or more discipline specific design software: AASHTOWare BRDR, Bentley STAAD.Pro, CSi Bridge, Bentley RM Bridge, MDX, Bentley LEAP, etc.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Experience working on a NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Term Agreement project.
