The Commercial Senior Analyst/ Associate will play a key role in advancing Energix’s commercial strategy by engaging with corporate offtakers, utilities, and partners to secure long-term energy sales contracts that enhance project bankability and support the company’s growing U.S. renewable energy portfolio.

  • Evaluate and engage with potential counterparties including independent power producers (IPPs), utilities, and large energy consumers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Development, Finance, and Legal to align PPA terms with project economics and operational requirements.
  • Source, structure, and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and related offtake contracts for power, RECs and potentially other ancillary services, to support business goals.
  • Support the development and management of existing and new strategic relationships with key offtakers, advisors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, utility IRPs, RFPs, and policy developments to inform negotiation strategies and benchmark PPA structures.
  • Provide regular reports on PPA pipeline status, market insights, and contract performance to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize or renegotiate existing agreements to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Support the identification and development of a commercial strategy dedicated to Energix’s standalone BESS projects.
  • Conduct detailed commercial and contractual analyses to ensure favorable terms and manage associated risks.
  • Prepare pricing models, financial analyses, and risk assessments to support PPA negotiations and execution.

This position will be based in Arlington, Virginia. Limited travel may be required within Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.

  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to analyze, negotiate, and execute complex energy contracts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
  • Background in the energy sector, preferably with an Independent Power Producer (IPP), energy developer, utility, or large corporate offtaker.
  • Familiarity with U.S. energy markets, corporate procurement processes, and renewable energy regulations is an advantage.
  • Experience working in teams with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial energy contracting, origination, or procurement, specifically involving PPA structuring or negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial and contract analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of specific degree requirements.
