• Maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Develop work instructions to support preventive maintenance.

• Dismantle equipment to access problem areas.

• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs during production.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and preventive upkeep.
• Start machines after repair to verify operation.
• Replace broken parts, motors, belts, and adjust feed mechanisms.
• Wire motors, fixtures, replace switches/fuses, splice and insulate wires.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines.
• Patch or replace plasterboard and paint walls, ceilings, and trim.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure documents.

Requirements

Cadrex is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, facility equipment, and physical structures, following safety and preventive maintenance processes. The role involves both scheduled and emergency repairs to keep the plant operating efficiently.

The position requires proficiency with hand and power tools, electric multimeters, and computer systems, and the ability to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting. Candidates must be able to develop work instructions, inspect and diagnose equipment issues, and execute repairs, including wiring, part replacement, and preventative maintenance.

The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, occasional electrical shock risk, and moderate to loud noise. Physical demands involve standing, sitting, climbing, lifting up to 25 lb, and using various visual abilities.

• 3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent degree).
• Demonstrated electronics knowledge and proficiency with hand tools.
• Experience in a machine shop performing maintenance duties.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Read electrical schematics.
