The Assistant Project Manager will work with the team through all phases of the project life cycle, including budgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, move management planning, and close‑out services. The position supports the Project Manager in leading the project team, setting goals, developing policies, mentoring team members, and ensuring successful project completion.
Key responsibilities include monitoring design and construction activities to meet contractual and quality standards, developing and tracking project budgets, cash‑flow analyses, and cost estimates, and reviewing purchase orders, change orders, and invoices. The Assistant Project Manager forecasts potential liabilities, maintains project schedules, manages client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships, resolves conflicts, and communicates complex ideas to stakeholders. Additionally, they assist in developing project standards, policies, and procedures and provide direction to less‑experienced team members.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management and demonstrate solid experience with project management techniques, standards, and software such as MS Project and SharePoint. Strong written and verbal communication, issue resolution, and people‑management abilities—including recruitment, training, and performance management—are required. Proficiency with general Microsoft applications and the ability to forecast challenges while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance are also essential.
