The engineer will lead analysis and design of structural systems using various building materials, create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations, and engage with clients to define requirements while maintaining strong professional relationships. Project planning, budgeting, scheduling, documentation, and progress tracking against scope and fees are also managed, with an emphasis on innovative, practical solutions and adherence to quality control and industry standards.
- Lead analysis and design of structural systems using diverse building materials

- Manage project planning, budgeting, scheduling, documentation, and progress tracking
- Develop innovative solutions while ensuring code compliance and IMEG standards
- Review designs and calculations for quality control and client requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, architects, contractors, and owners
- Identify and escalate potential project issues to the Project Manager
- Oversee projects from bidding through design and construction administration
- Participate in impactful, sustainable projects for universities and K‑12 schools
- Leverage advanced BIM tools and parametric workflows for cost‑effective solutions

Required qualifications include a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (MS preferred), an EIT certification (preferred), and at least three years of experience in building design consulting (or an associate degree/certificate in BIM with seven years of experience). Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in design techniques, technical plans, structural analysis concepts across steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and BIM software, as well as strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
The role demands proficiency with industry‑standard engineering software (e.g., RAM, RISA, ETabs, Grasshopper, Enercalc), MS Office, and the ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays.
- Hold a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (MS preferred) and EIT certification (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in building design consulting (or 7 years with BIM focus)
- Proficient in design techniques, structural analysis, and BIM software
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Skilled in industry‑standard software (RAM, RISA, ETabs, Grasshopper, Enercalc) and MS Office
- Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays
