- Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality
- Ensure compliance with local and international highway design standards and regulations
- Conduct feasibility studies and traffic impact assessments for proposed highway projects
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery
- Develop and review highway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various projects
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in highway engineering and implement best practices
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and tender documents for new projects
- Utilize advanced engineering software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to create detailed designs and 3D models
- Perform complex engineering calculations and analyses related to highway geometry, drainage, and pavement design
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable transportation infrastructure

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on highway engineering
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of independent work
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in highway design and engineering
- Strong knowledge of highway engineering principles, including geometric design, pavement design, and drainage systems
- Willingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software
- Eligibility: As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- In-depth understanding of local UAE highway design standards and regulations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information
- Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processes
- Experience with traffic modeling and analysis software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
