Our client, which is a fast growing insurance start up in Durham, NC is seeking a Manager of Investment Accounting to join the team as a full time employee. This person will be part of our investment accounting team and focus on providing accounting/financial reporting support for their investment portfolio. This person should be highly motivated and have good knowledge of the financial services or insurance industry. You will report to the Director of Investment Accounting and work a hybrid role in Durham. On a daily basis this person could work on pricing, work on data flows between our software (Clearwater) and our asset manager, and could get involved in our financial reporting processes as well. This person will help reconcile clearwater against banking records every month, complete quarterly investment schedules for financial reporting, will review/implement new accounting guidance, and lastly this person will onboard new asset classes/portfolios.
