Ensure consistent environmental reporting and monitoring across all locations. Support plant teams during environmental inspections and audits.
Oversee environmental compliance for hazardous waste, air emissions, chemical storage, stormwater, and wastewater.
Develop, update, and standardize EHS policies, training programs, and SOPs across all NC facilities.
Monitor and report EHS performance indicators (TRIR, LTIR, near misses, training compliance, audit results).
Oversee execution of core safety programs by Safety Managers and Training Managers, including:
Promote safety communication, leadership engagement, and employee involvement across all NC plants. Support and expand safety culture programs such as 5S, near-miss reporting, behavior-based safety, and recognition programs.
Collaborate with engineering and operations on equipment design reviews and process changes.
Identify recurring risks across locations and lead efforts to implement systemic controls.
Hot Work & Fire Prevention Ensure training programs are delivered effectively and consistently.
Ensure all EAS NC facilities comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and state/local regulations.
Develop monthly and quarterly reports for the Vice President of Safety and Quality. Benchmark performance among facilities and lead cross-site improvement initiatives.
Provide safety leadership and technical guidance to all EAS manufacturing locations across North Carolina.
Support and review incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development by plant-level safety teams. Maintain complete and accurate safety and environmental records.
Lead, coach, and develop Safety Managers and Safety Training Managers to ensure consistent safety performance and training quality.
Provide leadership and oversight to Safety Training Managers to ensure high-quality training content and delivery.
Direct and oversee Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), ergonomic assessments, and risk evaluations.
Coordinate with external agencies (fire, EMS, emergency management). Lead after-action reviews and implement improvements following emergency events.
Direct emergency response planning and training across all NC plants.
Conduct regular site visits to assess compliance, hazard controls, ergonomics, and safety culture. Ensure alignment of safety strategies, policies, and communications across facilities.

Strong background in OSHA compliance, investigations, hazard analysis, and safety training.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field or equivalent EHS experience.

Strong leadership and team development skills
Ability to lead and coach Safety Managers and Training Managers
CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, or similar
Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NC state regulations
