What you would be doing

  • Interpret installation drawings and technical details accurately.
  • Maintain comprehensive safety and quality documentation and site inductions.
  • Provide clear progress updates and communicate any issues or changes to the project team.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers and workshop teams to ensure timely delivery and installation sequencing.
  • Ensure all installations comply with design specifications, building codes, and client standards.
  • Represent the company professionally during inspections, handovers, and client meetings.
  • Work with a national fit-out specialist delivering premium retail, fast-food and hospitality projects.
  • Serve as the primary on-site leader liaising with clients, landlords, and centre management.
  • Manage daily workflow and allocate tasks across site installation teams and subcontractors.
  • Conduct daily site inspections for quality assurance and safety compliance.
  • Lead and perform on-site installation of joinery and fit-out components at multiple retail, fast-food and hospitality sites.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies promptly.

  • Trade qualification in carpentry, joinery, shopfitting, or equivalent essential.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and tight project timelines.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting installation drawings and joinery details.
  • Proven experience as a Leading Hand, Working Foreman, or Senior Shopfitter focusing on site installation in fit-out or construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage installation teams on multiple sites concurrently.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS regulations, building codes, and installation best practices.
  • Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and quality.
  • White Card and driver’s licence essential; additional safety tickets highly regarded.
