The Assistant Project Manager supports project leadership through planning, contract administration, coordination, and compliance, ensuring the work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meets client expectations.
Key duties include reinforcing corporate safety, quality, and schedule programs; reviewing contract documents and sharing knowledge; assisting with bidding, subcontracts, and purchase orders while mitigating risk; managing RFIs, project schedules, and coordination meetings; controlling costs through estimating, reporting, change orders, and cash‑flow analysis; leveraging technology for efficiency; and driving daily goal setting and accountability with subcontractors.
- Assist with project leadership, planning, contract administration, and compliance to ensure safe, on‑time, on‑budget construction.
- Reinforce corporate safety, quality, and schedule management programs while fostering collaborative partner relationships.
- Review and interpret contract documents, IFC drawings, specifications, and submittals; share knowledge with the team.
- Support bidding, award, preparation, and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders; identify and mitigate risks promptly.
- Manage RFIs, RFCOs, project schedules, subcontract trade controls, and coordinate owner/architect meetings.
- Perform cost control functions including estimating, reporting, change orders, cash‑flow analysis, and monthly financials.
- Utilize technology tools to improve efficiency and project team performance.
- Set daily goals, hold subcontractors accountable, and motivate resources to meet project objectives.
