The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor to perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Duties are carried out according to the company’s established standards, instructions, and procedures.
Typical responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, operating both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. The role also involves vacuuming rugs, spot‑cleaning and shampooing them as directed, dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, door trim, light fixtures, and performing periodic high‑dusting. Additional tasks are washing interior windowsills, glass, doors, partitions, cleaning interior walls, and maintaining bathrooms by restocking supplies, servicing dispensers, and monitoring for defects. The cleaner collects building trash, replaces liners, and sweeps or shovels snow from entrances and walkways as needed, and performs periodic work such as leather and wood polishing and wall washing.
No previous cleaning experience is required; the candidate must be able to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team. Ability to operate cleaning tools and equipment, including portable backpack vacuums, is essential. The position demands attention to detail, pride in service delivery, strong organization, high energy, and endurance.
