Power Distribution Intern

Description

• Spend the majority of time conducting field work, with a mix of office work
• Support the preparation of reports, plans and specifications for client
• Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
• May include driving as part of project responsibilities
• Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation
• Assist with fielding and surveying activities
• Assist in auditing, field surveying, inspections, structural analysis and partial design

Requirements

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Junior or senior pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with QGIS, SpidaCalc, Katapul Pro, and Smartsheet
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person
• Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
• Must be at least 21 years old
