Waka Kotahi is seeking a Safety Camera System Integrity Lead to establish and implement a Quality Management approach for the NZTA Safety Camera system. The role is pivotal in shaping operational efficiency, managing risk and ensuring system integrity across safety‑camera operations. You will lead the development of a Quality Assurance Framework and a Quality Management System that embeds quality principles into decision‑making and operational processes.
This fixed‑term role runs until 30 November 2026 and can be based in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch or Hamilton. It offers a strong quality‑assurance focus, calling for expertise in building and implementing Quality Management Systems within a high‑profile regulatory environment.
Successful candidates will have strong experience developing and implementing quality‑assurance frameworks, proven success in rolling out QMS in complex settings, and the ability to operationalise strategic considerations and manage performance frameworks. They must be skilled at stakeholder engagement, influencing senior leaders, and thinking strategically with a systems approach to complex issues. A willingness to understand and promote Te Ao Māori, tikanga, Te Reo Māori and the Treaty of Waitangi in the public sector is also required.
