In this role you will be the technical expert responsible for translating mechanical requirements into functional, optimized digital control systems. You will architect the network, select instrumentation, develop control sequences and ensure precision of every component that controls the building environment. - Develop overall control network architecture, wiring termination sheets and parts lists.
- Create equipment schedules and detailed Sequences of Operation (SOOs) to optimize energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
- Ensure compliance with building design specifications, value‑engineering changes and McKenney’s ACS design standards.
- Participate in reviewing and improving ACS design standards with management.
- Prepare control system submittals, flow diagrams and as‑built wiring diagrams.
- Conduct job‑site visits to define scope, attend field turnover meetings and coordinate with project managers.
- Leverage Project Support Center for Revit modeling, material logistics and final documentation delivery.
- Maintain continuous communication with Account Manager, Control System Project Manager and Mechanical Systems Project Manager.

The position involves moderate exposure to hot or cold temperatures, dust, noise and construction hazards, and requires handling objects up to 50 pounds, extensive standing, walking and occasional travel to job sites. Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Physical Sciences.
- Minimum 4 years experience in engineering/design of building automation systems.
- Proven experience with HVAC controls, BAS or energy‑monitoring platforms such as Niagara or Tridium.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Competency in Windows, Microsoft Office, function‑block programming, web‑enabled applications and database software.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and collaboratively, manage time productively and meet challenging goals.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, quality and safety, and ability to prioritize with minimal guidance.
- Professional work ethic and polished image that inspires confidence.
