Perform engineering duties on projects of various complexity as directed by a senior engineer/designer
Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials
Support the team in developing project quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
Contribute to the preparation of drawings, reports, and structural calculations for bridges and other transportation infrastructure
Provide support in conducting bridge load rating assessments
Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team
Assist with fieldwork or site inspections as required by project needs

Excellent organization, project management and communication skills both written and verbal along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team
Engineer in Training (EIT) designation preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
Some working knowledge of codes, legal and design requirements would be preferred
Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various elements
Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation
Minimum of 0-3 years of experience. Relevant co-op/internship experience preferred
Experience in Open Bridge Modeler, Microstation and/or AutoCAD is preferred
Use advanced structural analysis and design software
