Drainage Technicians visit residential and commercial sites to investigate wastewater works, diagnose issues, and implement solutions such as drain clearance, de‑scaling, root cutting, minor excavations and preventative maintenance. They use high‑pressure water jetters, CCTV camera survey equipment and rods, interpret drainage drawings, and operate independently while maintaining professional customer interaction and driving brand awareness.
- Visit residential and commercial locations to assess and resolve wastewater problems.
- Conduct on‑site surveys, diagnose faults, and propose solutions such as pipe clearing, de‑scaling, root removal, minor excavations and preventative maintenance.
- Operate high‑pressure water jetting units, CCTV inspection cameras and rods, and independently read drainage schematics.
- Communicate professionally with customers, providing clear advice and technical support.
- Enhance brand visibility through a professional appearance, interaction and technical expertise.
- Share best practices with team members and advise regional managers on performance issues.
- Spot potential issues and suggest additional work to improve service outcomes.
- Address operational, performance or compliance concerns to protect the brand’s reputation.

The role requires at least one year of experience in the drainage sector, preferably with knowledge of plumbing principles and drainage tanker operation. Candidates must hold a full clean UK driving licence, be flexible to travel, and preferably possess a CSCS card and high‑pressure water‑jetting certification. Proficiency with mobile devices for calls, photos, email and CRM, excellent verbal and written communication, a DBS check, and availability for a 24‑hour on‑call rota are also required.
Successful technicians lead from the front in this hands‑on position, displaying a positive, can‑do attitude and strong problem‑solving skills. They are organized, goal‑oriented, eager to learn, capable of working independently outdoors, motivated and highly customer‑centric.
- At least one year of experience in drainage work, with plumbing knowledge preferred.
- Experience operating drainage tankers is a plus.
- Clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel flexibly.
- CSCS card (preferred) and certification in high‑pressure water jetting.
- Ability to use a smartphone for calls, photos, email and CRM applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Benefits
