The Apprentice Construction Worker will learn on‑the‑job under the guidance of a journeyman, beginning with core construction skills such as safety orientation, construction math, hand and power‑tool use, reading drawings, rigging, confined‑space awareness, fall protection, and first aid. Successful completion of these fundamentals leads to deeper knowledge in specialized areas such as industrial, wind, or solar construction.
Apprentices are expected to demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, attend and complete both formal and on‑the‑job training, maintain accurate training logs, and pass required evaluations. They must follow all company and safety policies, perform physical labor and operate a variety of tools and equipment, assist other craft workers, and collaborate effectively to meet strict schedules and solve problems.
Candidates must meet basic educational and age requirements, be prepared to complete extensive on‑the‑job training, and possess fundamental tool experience and communication skills. The role also requires the ability to travel and work away from the home base for the duration of the apprenticeship.
