The successful candidate will receive assignment instructions, conduct a variety of in‑office and field tasks, operate surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS RTK, and data collectors, and accurately calculate and record field data. They will review job specifications, plan fieldwork methods and costs, apply scientific/engineering techniques, and adapt methods as needed.
Daily responsibilities include preparing field notes, sketches of site conditions, detailed job reports, and discussing progress with the supervisor, as well as maintaining and troubleshooting complex instrumentation and drafting surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Required qualifications are a Connecticut Professional Land Surveyor license, at least six years of survey experience, strong knowledge of calculations and procedures, solid computer and AutoCAD skills, effective verbal and written communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in various climates.
The position offers a salary range of $80,000‑$100,000, subject to adjustment based on experience, specialty, and other factors, and does not include additional compensation or benefits.
